Over the last many years, as I have been learning the skills I need …. I have listened to literally thousands of videos and lectures, tutorials and audiobooks.
During that time I have saved thousands of hours of time just by using this one feature of most players….. and the language recognition power of the human brain.
When listening to an audiobook, watching a video, or a lecture, you can change the speed of the video or audio you are playing.
Youtube allows you to set the speed to 1.25, 1.5, 1.75, and 2.
Most video streaming site and audio players have this feature somewhere.
I usually use 1.25 but quite often use 1.5. So a 1 hour lecture or talk only takes 45 minutes or less to watch.
It may surprise you to learn how well your brain is able to adapt to the increased speed.
